Our big retreat for the year is already here! Be praying for

Our first Chi Alpha was amazing! We overflowed the church way past capacity. The small group leaders did an excellent job rounding up as many new students as they could. This was an important night for the freshman because they finally got to see the “face” of Chi Alpha, or the method behind the madness so to speak. Our campus pastor Eli Gautreaux introduced one of our interns that delivered the message for the night. The Lord used him to describe the heart behind why we do what we do.

The freshman guys I brought had a great time. One of them in particular said, “I think this is what I’m looking for.” Thank God for the treasure in Huntsville! We are made in the image of God and He pursues us like a man pursues his bride. The Lord loves unconditionally and desires his children to turn back to him. Of all the creatures in all the world, we are his greatest treasure. Thank you Jesus.

Internship has started!!! Thank you so much everybody for your support. I’m getting emails from US Missions and have gotten most of everything set up. I’m very excited and will keep you updated on things to come. Our first busy week will be this upcoming week and we will be planning different events to get ready for the new year. Be praying for divine appointments with new students! I am looking forward to meeting new guys and creating new fellowship with them.

My support is growing, but I’ve still got more to go! I just had lunch at my favorite restaurant in Huntsville where I talked to the manager about the internship and what I was doing. She’s a very fast talker and it was difficult to make out everything she said because of her Chinese accent, but I was shocked when I heard her tell me that for the next year I could eat there for FREE!! This precious lady sees me almost twice a week bringing my friends to eat their amazing chicken fried rice and she thought of a great way to assist me. God has been continually reminding me that He really is faithful.

I have $600 more a month to go! Along with my summer classwork I have ONE MORE WEEK to raise this amount! If you know anyone that would like to help out and be apart of our team than please spread the word. I’m looking for 6 more people to give 100 dollars a month, or possibly 12 people to give $50 a month. I need more names and more contacts! I have no doubt in my mind that the Lord can raise this amount before then. Again it would be a major help if you could think of any names of people that could help out. Thank you and God bless!

I’ve got about 2 more weeks till the internship. Hurray! I’ve still got a ways to go towards raising a budget so please if you’ve received a letter or are interested in supporting me this next year you can easily do so through this blog. Just click the bubble at the top of the page that says “personal.” Then fill out the rest of the information on the page with my name as the “Missionary receiving support.” The missionary account number I will have to give you personally by email or phone.
